And tomorrow we’re headed to Knoxville for Meg & Aaron’s wedding!!! I can’t wait for their big day. Meg is one of my roommates from college and one of my favorite people. I can’t wait to watch her and Aaron exchange their vows. They are perfect for each other and we’ll truly be celebrating as they get married. Meg- I am SO excited for you guys and can’t wait to hang out all the time now that we live in the same city I hope your wedding day is all that you’ve ever dreamed of! I posted a sneak peek of Meredith & Parkes‘ engagement session a while back. Meredith is one of my very best friends so I was kind of nervous taking these pictures for them. I wanted to make sure they were perfect and showed just who they are as a couple and how in love they are! She stood beside me on my wedding day and I can’t wait to stand beside her on their day.

Moving isn’t easy. Change isn’t easy. But it’s important to move and experience new things. I moved to Charleston 4 years ago and it has been such an incredible experience. I’ll never forget driving here and thinking ‘My car is full of stuff. I’m moving to Charleston and I don’t have a job. I don’t have a place to live. What in the world am I doing?’ But it was also so exciting! I didn’t know what to expect and what my life would be like. If I had known how amazing my life would be for these 4 years I would have told myself to stop worrying. That’s the thing… you just don’t know what to expect when you move to a new place. And then life takes over and you find your way.

Theres something about Charleston that has become a part of who I am. I am so thankful for that. This place will always have a huge piece of my heart. And so because of that it makes me sad to leave. I’m sad to leave our friends. And I’m sad to leave the beach. But I remind myself that when I first moved here I was sad to leave my life in Knoxville. And I say all of this just to be very honest. Don’t get me wrong…I’m excited to move to Nashville! Our friends and family are there and we’ll be closer to my family. It’s going to be great. I get to start over with this business in a new city and I can’t wait to see what God has planned for my career as a photographer. I We have so much to look forward to.

Thank you to everyone who was a part of our life in Charleston. We’ll never forget you.

Just a side note– I was putting together this post yesterday right before we were leaving Charleston. Everything was packed. Everything but this computer. I was sitting on the floor in my office finishing this post and was going to schedule it for today. Then the power went out. And the water. We were being kicked out. Haha so now I sit in the kitchen at my in-laws house. We’re here. And about to unpack. What a whirlwind this has been. I’ve decided to post some iphone pictures from our move.

I can’t wait to explore this city! Nashville– we’re here…get ready!

Charleston has been so great and we’ve met so many awesome people living here. I’ll miss it for sure but I’m excited for a new adventure! Thank you to everyone here who has been so supportive of Leslie Walker Photography. I’m so blessed to be doing this and I can’t thank you enough for the encouragement you’ve given me since I started this business.

If you’re a client who has done a session with me recently I appreciate your patience as I continue to work and pack up our life in Charleston. It may take a little longer to get people their pictures back but I’m working hard to finish things up.

This move is something we have talked through and prayed about for a while now. An incredible opportunity came up and my husband has accepted a job with Dave Ramsey. We couldn’t be happier to be joining the Dave Ramsey family! I can’t wait for all the new things ahead of us.

Goodbye Charleston. You represent an incredible time in my life and I’ll never forget it.

I am SO very excited to show a sneak peek from a very special engagement session. Meredith is one of my very best friends from growing up. We’ve been friends for a ridiculous amount of years so when she got engaged I was beyond thrilled. I guess I should back up though– Meredith has known Parkes for years now but they didn’t start dating until sometime around Christmas of last year. He is a family friend so once they finally decided to be together they knew pretty much instantly that they would get married. Nothing makes me happier than to see her so happy. They couldn’t be more perfect for one another. It was such an honor to shoot their engagement pictures and I can’t wait to stand beside her on their wedding day next May. I love you guys!!
